Safelab are delighted to be working with Neilcott Construction on Harrow School’s new science building.

Set to open later this year, the 3,100m² building will house 16 state-of-the-art laboratories, a 180-seat lecture theatre and research laboratories for specialist projects and A level studies.

Safelab will be providing 28 new fume cupboards along with the ducting, fans and installation works. This will include three Airone 1200X ducted units in each chemistry laboratory, a fixed filtered unit in the lecture theatre, and two Airone 1800X units in the chemistry research lab. There will also be a range of units in the prep rooms.

Safelab has been working on this multi-million-pound project since 2014, and once complete it will be the largest new-build school fume cupboard installation in the UK. Incidentally, the second and third biggest projects, Abingdon School in Oxfordshire and Cranleigh School in Surrey, were also completed using Safelab fume cupboards.

This cements Safelab’s position as the leading fume cupboard supplier to schools and colleges in the UK, and we look forward to working alongside Neilcott Construction and Harrow School on this impressive project.
