Safelab has recently extended its factory in Weston-Super-Mare to allow for continued growth and to provide space for stock to be held prior to distribution.

Following planning approval in early 2021, the scheme involved a single bay (6m portal frame) extension to the rear of the existing building and an external compound which will provide additional factory space and storage.

The plan is to use the large mezzanine provided to build up a stock of up to ninety-nine fume cupboards, allowing for shorter lead times during periods of increased order numbers and larger contracts.

The extension was built with support from John Blake (Architect) and KP Wilton & Son Ltd (Contractor).
